Privacy Policy

DIREKT ("we," "us," "our") operates an anonymous, AI-matched real estate marketplace in Egypt. Privacy isn't an add-on feature for us — it's the core of the product. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how it's protected.

1. What we collect

When you open the app: a private handle (e.g. "EG-XXXX") is generated on your device. No name, phone number, or email is required or collected at this stage.

As you use the app: we store, tied only to your anonymous handle:

  • Messages you send to Direkt AI, so it can understand what you're looking for
  • Units you save or compare
  • Meeting requests (call/video) with developers, and any brief generated from your chat context
  • Deal and contract submissions, if you choose to submit one
  • Your IP address, retained briefly for security and abuse prevention (e.g. rate-limiting, fraud detection on the reward program)

Only if you choose to reveal your identity (a deliberate, explicit action before reserving a unit) do we collect your full name, mobile number, and email — and only to share with the one developer you're reserving with.

2. How your revealed identity is protected

If you reveal your identity, your name, mobile number, and email are encrypted at rest before being stored. Your recovery code is hashed, not stored in plain text — the same standard used for account passwords. We never sell or share this information with anyone other than the specific developer for the specific unit you reserved.

3. Third parties we use

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run the service:

  • Anthropic — processes your chat messages to power Direkt AI's responses and recommendations.
  • Supabase — hosts our database (deals, meetings, wallet, encrypted identity records).
  • Railway and Vercel — host our backend API and app respectively.

None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell data to brokers, advertisers, or any other third party — the entire premise of DIREKT is that your contact information is not for sale.

4. Local storage

Your handle, saved units, and session state are stored locally on your device (via browser local storage or app storage) so you don't lose your place between visits. Clearing your app data will generate a new handle.

5. The reward program

If you close a deal through DIREKT, you're eligible for a reward (currently 1% of unit value) and any applicable referral reward. To prevent abuse, we monitor for patterns like duplicate contract submissions or the same device/network submitting under multiple handles. 6. Your rights

You can request deletion of any data tied to your handle at any time by contacting us at the address below. If you've revealed your identity, you can also request a copy of the personal data we hold, or ask us to correct it.

7. Children's privacy

DIREKT is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes. Material changes will be communicated in-app.

This policy describes how DIREKT's product actually works today. As we're pre-launch, it will be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before public launch to ensure full compliance with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law and any other applicable regulation.
